On the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lepelstraat is a Dutch war grave of a former resistance fighter who was active in the Dutch Domestic Forces (N.B.S.). This is the grave of Marinus Antonius Franciscus (Rini) Elling. Elling was executed on November 1th 1944 on the Rubeerdijk in Nieuw-Vossemeer, niet ver van Lepelstraat. On the place where he was executed a memorial is erected.
