Hotel Majapahit
This hotel was named 'Yamato' during the Japanese occupation and used as temporary internment camp for Dutch women and children. On 19 September 1945, an angry mob of Indonesian nationalists replaced the Dutch flag on the hotel and a Dutch ex-internee was murdered.
