Historical Trail - Fort Lei Yue Mun

Fort Lei Yue Mun was built in the 80's of the 19th century to protect Hong Kong's harbor from Russian or French attacks. It was heavily engaged with Japanese forces in December 1941. Some parts of the fort are still rattled with grenade and bullet impacts.

A part of the fort has been converted into the main exhibition hall of the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence. Other parts of the fort can be visited freely.
