Memorial Canadian Prisoners of War

This memorial commemorates the Canadian soldiers who were made prisoners of war during the Battle of Hong Kong and who died in the prison camps.

The text reads, in English:
TWO MAPLE TREES WERE PLANTED ON 5 DECEMBER 1991
IN MEMORY OF OUR CANADIAN COMRADES
WHO PAID THE SUPREME SACRIFICE, PERISHED IN PRISON CAMPS
AND HAVE SINCE DIED AS A RESULT OF THE SUFFERING INFLICTED
1941-45
