Cape Town War Memorial

This impressive cenotaph was erected in 1924 to commemorate those South Africans who fell in WW1. Plaques have been added for WW2 and Korea.

Winged Victory stands on the central column. Two flanking columns support soldiers in the uniforms for the western front and the East Africa campaign. Bronze plaques of WW1 scenes from those campaigns.
