Suicide Cliff Saipan

(Micronesia - Saipan - San Roque)

During the Battle of Saipan (15.6.1944 - 9.7.1944) many hundreds of Japanese citizens and soldiers jumped from this cliff towards a certain death. Today there is a memorial on top of the mountain, which commemorates those who ended their lifes this way.
