Memorial Allied Forces Bergen

Near the Commonwealth War Graves on Bergen General Cemetery is a rememberance stone to commemorate the fallen Allies buried there. In 1970 in the Ruïne Church they placed a carillon of 27 bells to honour them.

Text on the memorial:

IN 1970 THE PEOPLE OF BERGEN PLACED A CARILLON OF 27 BELLS
IN DE RUINE KERK IN MEMORY OF THE MEN WHO REST HERE

Another memorial, consisting of a Lancaster bomber blade, was donated by the Association for the Preservation of War Planes and Veterans of 617 Squadron.
