Gurkha Soldier Memorial
This memorial recalls the deployment of Gurkha soldiers by the British. The memorial was unveiled on December 3, 1997 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. It bears the inscription:
Bravest of the brave, most generous of the generous, never had country more faithful friends than you. [/ i]
