Fort benoorden Purmerend

The "Fort benoorden Purmerend (Fort north of Purmerend)", model B, was built in 1886-1912 as part of the Stelling van Amsterdam (Defence Line of Amsterdam, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

The fort was mobilized both in 1914-1918 and in 1940. After World War II, collaborators were imprisoned here.
