National Memorial World War II Washington DC

This is the national memorial of the United Stated commemorating the Second World War.

Bronze reliefs are placed on the sides that show chronologically how the war went: men who are called up and then trained until the final victory is achieved. It also indicates the situation at home.

Op de muren zijn uitspraken van President en commandanten van de Amerikaanse Strijdkrachten aangebracht.

The memorial is framed by 56 columns representing 48 American States and the 8 Territories at the time of World War II.
