Shelter Achterdorpsstraat Renkum
This cellar was a hiding place for 23 residents of Renkum, who took shelter for the ongoing fighting in this village between 18-30 September 1944.
The plaque is an initiative of the Historical Society Redichem and was unveiled on 19 September 2014.
De cellar is private property and therefore not accessible to the public. By means of a QR-code on the plaque the visitor is able to see some photographs of the interior of the cellar and can read the testimonies of one of the civilians who was took shelter in this cellar in September 1944.
