Legermuseum Delft (Dutch Army Museum)

(Netherlands, the - South Holland - Delft)

The Army Museum Delft is closed and reopens in Soesterberg in 2014.

The army museum in Delft is precise what the names says, an army museum.
In an old warehouse, in the centre of Delft the history of weapons and the use of it in the Netherland is gathered here.

In a journey through time you will be guided trough the development and use of weapons in and around our country with help of weapons, diorama, dressed models, vehicles, information and so on. But that is not it, along the way they also give an image of the development of the Dutch landforces.

Its is very interesting to let yourself go, from the Stone age, via bow and arrow, firestone rifles and ofcourse the second World War to the most modern piece of warfare. You can find a unique piece of Dutch history gathered here.

Also for us World War 2 interests there is enough to discover. From the May days, through occupation to liberation, they sketch an image of friend and enemy during this period. When you have an interest in the weapons, vehicles, uniforms etc. you're going to love it here

The Army Museum Delft is closed and reopens in Soesterberg in 2014.
