Belgian War Graves Veldwezelt

The military plot of the cemetery in Veldwezelt contains the graves of 114 Belgian carabiners who fell on May 10, 1940. That day the Germans invaded Belgium and the capture of the bridge over the Albert Canal in Veldwezelt was of strategic importance.

The cemetery in Veldwezelt also contains the graves of civilian victims of the Second World War. These are the graves of victims of air raids.
