(Germany - Nordrhein-Westfalen - Aachen)
From 1933 on, this building was used by the Gestapo "Geheime Staatspolizei". People were imprisoned and often tortured here before they were send to prisons and concentration camps. Several prisoners died here in the cells in the basement.
The plaque is part of the project “Wege Gegen Das Vergessen” (Ways Against Forgetting).
