Grave Hero of the Soviet Union M. A. Yegorov
(Russia - Central - Smolensk)
Sergeant Yegorov was one of the soldiers who lifted the victory banner on top of the Reichstag roof. For this action, Yegerov was awarded the "Hero of the Soviet Union" title on 8 May 1945. He was buried here in 1975. The bust was placed here in 2000.
