Memorial Plaque Defense Jargeau

This plaque on a stone wall close to the riverbank commemorates the defense of Jargeau on 15, 16 and 18 June, 1940. Soldiers of the 42, 44 and 71 Battalion delayed the German advance. The plaque remembers the fallen comrades.
