155mm Gun Emplacement Colorado Point

(Netherlands Antilles - Sint Nicolaas, Aruba)

This 155mm gun emplacement at Colorado Point, the most southern part of Aruba, was part of a coastal gun complex with four 155mm guns wich could rotate 360 degrees, for the defense of Aruba and the Lago Refinery.

The complex was operational during World War II. The other three gun enplacements are also present, as well as the remains of ammunition bunkers and searchlight emplacements.
