Resistance Memorial Hooghalen
(Netherlands, the - Drenthe - Hooghalen)
On 10 September 1943, 10 members of the resistance were executed at the Witterveld near Assen. They were cremated at the Westerbork Camp crematorium and their ashes were buried behind the crematorium.
Near the crematorium, also the remains of 48 members of the resistace and 4 Jews who were executed here were found. Alle victims were commemorated by a memorial.
