Commonwealth War Cemetery Nairobi

The War Cemetery of Nairobi contains 1,952 Commonwealth war graves (11 unknown). It also containes 89 non-war graves. The Commission also takes care for 1 French war grave. It's the biggest war cemetery of Eastern Africa.

The war cemetery has been astablished in 1941. Until 1945 it was used by the Commonwealth forces. The soldiers who rest here died in Somalia or in hospitals in Nairobi.
