At the cemetery of Meulebeke there's a tombe in memory of the fallen political prisoners during WWII. The tomb commerates 4 political prisoners:

- Gerard Wyckhuys; executed on 15th November 1943 in Dortmund
- Andre Buyck; executed on 15th November 1943 in Dortmund
- Joseph Versavel; died in the concentration camp of Sonnenburg
- Jacques Breyne; died in the concentration camp of Wolfenbuttel
