Dutch War Grave Brakel

Brakel Protestant Churchyard contains one Dutch war Grave. This is the grave of Hendrik van Balen. Hendrik was a shipper on the coleship 'De Molenaar'. He died in the hospital of Gelsenkirchen (Germany) after he was wounded during the bombing of the Ruhr by the Brittish 'Bombing Command'. His body was transported to Holland on 'De Molenaar'. He was burried in Brakel.
