Sint-Martin Church Ardooie
(Belgium - West Flanders - Ardooie)
The Sint-Martin church has been built after WWII (1947-1949) but during the Second World War, the church has been destroyed by the Germans. At the end of the Battle for Belgium, the Germans bombed Ardooie. The church had been destroyed by incendiary bombs. It was the second time in more than 20 years that the church had been destroyed: during the First World War, the Germans blew up the church.
In 1947, the built of the new church started.
