Bomb Craters Formerumerbos

(Netherlands, the - Friesland - Formerum (Terschelling))

Begin 1943, a English bomber on its way to Germany, was followed by a German nightfighter. He dropped his bombs when he tried to escape. The four bomb craters still are visible. This sign is located next to one of these.
