Musée du 5 Juin 1944 "Message Verlaine"

The museum (Museum of June 5 1944 "Message Verlaine") is located in the former command bunker of the 15th German army. This radiocentrum played an important role in the secret allied operation Fortitude and the operation Overlord (D-Day). Here were the parts of the poem by Verlaine deciphered.
The poem was signed by the BBC just before the invasion in June 1944 disseminated by radio to the French resistance to aware them of the upcoming invasion. The message was also received by the Germans and it was at this location successfully deciphered.
In the museum, we get an impression of the used radio technics. There are several exhibits of models, uniforms and weapons.
