Crash Site B-24 Liberator 42-50610

This monument is to honor the crew of a B-24 Liberator (42-50610) bomber of the USAAF, which crashed on 26 November 1944, on return from a mission to Germany. One crew member was killed.

The monument was inaugurated on 20 May 2010 in the presence of the three crewmembers who are still alive and U.S. Ambassador Howard W. Gutman. It was founded by the association Leuven Centraal. Check their website (in Dutch) for more information.
