Graves Resistances Fighters Jutphaas

At the municipal cemetery in Jutphaas, municipality Nieuwegein, are four graves of the resistances fighters who were executed on 7 may 1945.
These are:
Theo Hanselaar, age 26
Aart Kros, age 28
Willem Spies, age 37
Jan Streefkerk, age 27
On the same day, the resistance fighter Frans Luiten was executed, he is buried in R.C.cemetery in Jutphaas.
These heroes were executed two days after the capitulation in revenge.
A resistance fighter had shot a drunken German who threatened to shoot people in the street.
In the same grave monument is the grave of Johan van Ee, hairdresser and member of the resistance. He was 38 years old and died in Neuengamme on 27-11-1944.
All are also commemorated at the War Memorial in Jutphaas.
