Commonwealth War Grave Vorselaar

At the General Cemetery in Vorselaar is one Commonwealth war grave of the Second World War. This is the grave of the Canadian F/Lt. John Wesley Cowling. On September 20, 1944 Cowling made in his North American P-51 Mustang of the Canadian 430 squadron together with another Mustang a reconnaissance flight over Arnhem. Due to bad weather the flight was aborted prematurely, through radio contact with each other, this was discussed. Afterwards there was no more contact with Cowling, for unknown reasons, the plane of Cowling later crashed in Vorselaar.

We like to add more information about the casualty buried in this grave. If you know more about this grave, please contact us.
