At the General Cemetery in Bloemendaal is one Commonwealth war grave from World War II. This is the grave of WJ Mackay, he was a crew member of the Hampden X3118 X1D OL-J of 83 Sqn. The Hampden crashed into the sea off the Dutch coast, the plane was on it's way to a raid on Essen.
