The collection of the museum is since September 2001 stored in the restored building Nieuw Haven 28. This historical museum brings the Drechtregion during the war years 1940-1945 into the picture. Theme's like mobilization, national socialisme, resistance, occupation and live as a citizian of the Drechtsregion is coming to live with help of photo's, documents, objects and videofilms.
Activity: tours, displaying severa films and a kids search.
This is a museum that is focused on the occupation of Dordrecht and region.
There are many glass show cabine's with a.o. money, bicycletags, identity cards, vouchers etc. But also weapons, a jeep and a ponton bridge (a small piece) Also there is a collection of preserving bottles with food placed in 1940 and got tested in 1992 by the food inspection department and the food is still eatable.
Also you get a free guide that will tell you something with everything you see.
