Monument Former Minister Lely Bridge Sluiskil
(Netherlands, the - Zeeland - Sluiskil)
During the second World War on May 21, 1940, the retreating French army blown up the bridge. After rebuilding, on September 24, 1944, the retreating German army destroyed the bridge again. After the reconstruction, it was used as a combined rail and road bridge, it has served until March 18, 1968.
The Minister Lely Canal Bridge was replaced by a wider and higher, more northerly direction built bridge.
