Belgian War Graves Gedinne

At the cemetery in Gedinne are two graves of Belgian soldiers.

Albert Marchal was a soldier in the 3rd Regiment Chasseurs Ardennais / 2nd Bataillon / 4th Company. He died on May 12, 1940 in Perwez as a result of a grenade impact. He was posthumously awarded the Knight of the Order of Léopold II with palm, and the commemorative medal 1940-1945 with crossed sabers.

René Labouverie was born in Gedinne on February 3, 1893. He was a soldier, 2nd class 9th Line, Cie universitairen. He died for the Fatherland on August 6, 1914 at the age of 21. He was injured in Sart-Tilman and died in the ambulance on the way to the Angleur field hospital.
