Camp Westerbork Remembrance Centre

In the Remembrance Centre Camp Westenbork they tell the daily life in the camp. The personal story is central: Films, stories, objects and letters give a multiplicity of impressions. An original barrackwall, a film made in 1944 in the camp, a trumpet which was played on in Auschwitz. The experiences of individuale families are shown in various presentations and give a moving image of the prosecution in World War 2.

Memorial window (pictures 4-5)
The memorial window in the great hall is a stained glass window.
The window depicts a woman offering a weakened man a drinking cup, while a storm is raging around them.

On the stained glass window is the following text:

1940 THE DUTCH RED CROSS
ON THE MUNICIPALITY OF WESTERBORK 1945
FOR HELP TO THE JEWISH DEPORTS
