The Malta at War Museum

The three most bombed cities on Malta during the Second World War were Cospicua, Vittoriosa and Senglea. The The Malta at War Museum in Vittoriosa shows the events during that period. During this bombings the population hided sometimes weeks in a row in very small spaces and rooms of the underground tunnels under the fortress of Vittoriosa.

The museum has restored these underground rooms and tunnels and equipped with items from that period. Also the actions of the Matlese resistance fighters carried out in 1942 are shown.

For current visiting hours, please visit the website of the museum.
