Stützpunkt von Kleist Bunker 1 type 669 Koudekerke

Verteidigungsbereich Vlissingen (Vb Vlissingen), includes the area between the coast and the Landfront. within the area between Landfront, Seafront and Kernwerk were a few and scattered Stützpunkt Widerstandsnests.
These are collected by the Bunker Conservation Foundation to a "residual".
It contains three so-called care areas:
Koudekerke (Kolberg)
Vlissingen, (Villa Park)
Ritthem
the Flak Battery "Nord"
a command post (Coburg) and
two "Heeres-Batterien" (von Kleist and Rebhuhn).
This battery at Westhoek, between Koudekerke and Vlissingen, had a front to the north. The two types of 611 bunkers have been well round build, while the two of type 669 were build using Formsteine (prefabricated blocks).
During innundation of the island, the guns (15.5 cm French Houwitzers) were used in the defense of the Sloedam.

This is to avoid that bunker fans are given a bad name by the owners of these bunkers, and the result may be that they are no longer accessable. Please also note that for many owners, Sunday is a day of rest. Do not cause any inconvenience.
