Commonwealth War Graves Gembes

On the churchyard in Gembes is a Commonwealth war grave. It is the grave of Sergeant (Observer) Cyril Arnold Morgan. On May 15, 1940 a Bristol Blenheim IV makes a reconnaissance mission over Belgium. For unknown reasons it crashed into Gembes. In the crash, one crew member got killed, he is buried in this cemetery. The other crew member Flying Officer M.I. Murdoch was captured by the Germans.
