War Grave A.D.C. La Gruta

(UK: Scotland - Scottish Borders - Lauder)

This Commonwealth war grave is located on a very remote location at the head of the Earnscleuch Water in the Lammermuir Hills. It is the grave of Flight Sergeant A.D.C. La Gruta of the Royal Australian Air Force who crashed here on 29 August 1941. Around the grave are remains of the aircraft.

This is one of the only few sites where airmen were buried on high ground in Great-Britain.
