War Memorial Tante Riek

(Netherlands, the - Guelders - Winterswijk)

This monument was erected in memory of the resistance woman H. TH Kuipers-Rietberg (aunt Riek). She was the founder of the National Organization to assist in Hiding (the L.O.) which have helped around 300,000 people in hiding. For this heroic act she payed with her life. She deceased in concentration camp Ravensbrück in Germany.
