On the cemetery at the Veldsestraat in Bergharen is one Commonwealth war grave. This is the grave of Flt/Sgt D.C. Horn. Horn flew the Hawker Typhoon IB R8688 of the 247 Squadron of the Royal Air Force. He was hit on January 14, 1945 by enemy fire. The plane crashed in Bergharen, Horn was killed in the crash.
