Commandpost International Forces Drimmelen

After the liberation of Drimmelen in November 1944 was Drimmelen due its location at the water a frontline. The Germans attacked Drimmelen with mortars from across the river the Amer. For the residents of Drimmelen it was currently too dangerous to attend services at the church on the Battery in Drimmelen. For the Catholic service was therefore used the Protestant church on the Herengracht in Drimmelen. The church on the battery was used as a post of the BS, the International Forces (Inland Resistance Movement). The post was called the Kerkenhoek (Church's Corner)
