WW2 Remnants Fortress Rammekens

(Netherlands, the - Zeeland - Ritthem)

Picture number 1 & 2:
On the main rampart of the Fortress a foundation can be seen where a 60cm searchlight has been mounted.
Picture number 3:
when you take position in the hall with the open doors (as shown on picture number 4) and with your back to the embrasure the following text can be distinguished high up on the wall:

Photo 5: The creek and nature area surrounding the Fort. A remnant of the bombing of the dykes and inundation of Walcheren. This creek runs further on into the nature reserve when the dam holes were closed and the reclamation of Walcheren was a fact after the inundation in 1944.
Vlissingen - Veere and Westkapelle also have these creeks and natural areas as remnant of the dike breaches and flooding in 1944.
