Remembrance Plaque Zwanenburg

(Netherlands, the - Overijssel - Enschede)

This plaque commemorates the people of Enschede who helped forced labourers who were send to Germany by train. In Enschede, on 23 February 1945, they were given food by the locals, and many forced labourers were able the escape with the help of the locals. 300 of the labourers were residents of Zwanenburg and the plaque was given by the village of Zwanenburg.
