Former Execution Range Kurapaty
(Belarus - Minsk)
This site was scene of the mass execution of between 30,000 and 250,000 people by the NKVD between 1937 and 1941. Among the victims are Polish officers, killed during the Katyn massacre (1940). The site is converted to a national memorial place for the victims buried here in mass graves.
