German Tobruks IJmuiden
(Netherlands, the - North Holland - IJmuiden)
These two tobruks (in German: Ringstand, type R 58) are located at the north side of the tank barrier in the dunes south of IJmuiden. They were part of the IJmuiden Landfront, which was part of the Atlantic Wall. A tobruk is a small bunker with at the top an opening for a machine gun or flame thrower.
The tobruks were named W.N. (Widerstandsnest) 84 and 85.
